February 2016 Update

2016 is off to a great start for Barnabas1040 ministries. Our national church planters are serving in four Asian countries now and we expect to add Indonesia and Vietnam to the list in the next few months. Gayle and I are keeping busy with Missions Conferences and meetings here in the States as we are raising support to transition to living full time in Asia early next year.

I also had the opportunity to speak at the Asian Leadership Conference held in Manila the first week of February. One of the most important aspects of participating in the Manila conference was the opportunity to make contacts that will enable us to eventually expand into Myanmar (Burma) and Nepal. I am amazed at the providence of God as He leads each step of the way, opening and closing doors as He sees fit. That is exactly what we desire. Our prayer has always been that this ministry would facilitate the planting of churches in the most unreached and unengaged nations in our world. This cannot possibly happen without the Lord Jesus Christ being in control. Each week Gayle and I are at a different church presenting the ministry. Each month the Lord is adding new supporting churches as partners with us. We are extremely grateful for each of those the Lord is burdening to help us as we come alongside godly missionaries in the 10/40 Window and provide the resources to plant more churches. Together we are making a difference in some of the most spiritually dark places of the world. As a result of your partnership in giving and praying, there are national churches today where not long ago there was literally no gospel witness! How wonderful is that! Please continue to pray for safety and power as we travel and present the ministry. We are planning to spend the Summer of 2016 working with nationals in Asia. As I mentioned earlier, we will move to Southern China in 2017, so that only leaves us 7 months in 2016 to attempt to raise support. The Lord has allowed us to fill almost every Sunday in 2016. I do have an open Sunday in the Richmond, Virginia area in September, and another Sunday in November in Washington state. We also have several midweek dates open if any of the pastors reading this would like to have us in their churches during 2016.
