Important Changes For Sending Support

Dear Pastors and Supporting Church Family,

A few weeks ago, I sent out a letter explaining the completion of the merger between Ministry Asia and Barnabas 1040. I wanted to follow up now in case you did not receive the last email, or did not have the opportunity to read it.

There are a few minor changes that have been made, such as our name is now “Ministry Asia” and we are asking you to send your support through the BBFI in Springfield, MO, rather than Liberty Baptist Church in California.

By doing this, we are relieving Liberty Baptist Church of the responsibility of receiving and processing the support and instead using the process that Ministry Asia already has in place. Our connection with Liberty Baptist Church and Pastor Thompson remains unchanged.

A few of you have contacted me concerning your desire to support me personally. I appreciate and am humbled by that, but I would like to ask you to begin sending ALL funds directly to MINISTRY ASIA – SUPPORT (instructions below).

Due to the name change (Ministry Asia), I asked that you do NOT use my name or Barnabas1040, as it might confuse the processing of funds. Gayle and I will still continue to receive our own personal support.

I am going to copy and paste the method for sending support that I sent to you last month:

Beginning immediately, we would like to ask you to send the SUPPORT CHECKS to:

BBFI
PO BOX 191
Springfield, MO 65801

NOTE: The check for Ministry Asia / Support should be completed as follows:

1. The check should be written to BBFI or Baptist Bible Fellowship International.
2. In the memo/reference section at the bottom of the check, please print: “ABC – Ministry Asia / Support.”

(The Asian Baptist Clearinghouse (ABC) handles the processing of the monthly support from Ministry Asia to the national pastors.)

In addition to the acknowledgement of your monthly support, you will also receive an annual summary statement from BBFI.

ONLINE GIVING:

Through the BBFI, there is also an opportunity to process and send the support ONLINE.

1. Go to the BBFI Missions website: https://bbfimissions.com
2. Go to the MENU icon: (three lines)
3. Click on GIVE
4. Click GIVE TO A PROJECT
5. Scroll down til you find Asian Baptist Clearinghouse (ABC)
6. Enter amount under “Support”
7. Go to check out
8. In GIFT COMMENTS write, “Ministry Asia – Support”
9. Check box if you want to make your donation a recurring payment
10. Fill out your contact information and billing address and submit.

You will be pleased to know that, in addition to the financial support, as part of Ministry Asia, these national pastors and their ministries will be receiving “extended care”:

• Access to local language Bibles through Ministry Asia / Bible initiative
• Access to local language resources through Ministry Asia / Resource Hub
• Access to training through Ministry Asia / Training
• Access to other like-minded laborers through Ministry Asia / Conferences

I am personally excited about this merger as it allows us to effectively work together on the selection of national pastors; vetting, validating, and reporting of their ministries.

Thank you again for your continued support that sustains our national pastors.

Brother Niranjan may be following up with a letter in a few days.
