May 2015 Update
I am happy to report that the Lord has allowed us to expand this ministry of helps into the Country of Nigeria. This month we added another National Pastor. We are now supporting Pastor’s full-time in Laos, Thailand, and Nigeria.
I am including a photo and testimony of Brother Abraham and his family. Please pray for them as they begin a brand new ministry for our Lord!
Brother Abraham is also requesting help with start up costs for items such as Bibles, Gospel Tracts and Hymn books. If you would like to designate help for him or any one of our National Pastor’s please do so at Barnabas1040.com or through Liberty Baptist Church, 1000 Bison Ave. Newport Beach, CA 92660.
Thank you and God bless you,
Let me begin my letter by introducing myself to you. I am Abraham Oluwatosin Adeyemi, I am from Nigeria, West Africa, and also I got married February 15, 2014, and The Lord has blessed our home with beautiful baby girl named Connie. I grew up in a polygamous home, my father married three wives, and in a polygamous home in Africa, father does not have time for the children at home, it is now the responsibility of each wife to take care of her own children. And also I grow up in a religious home, we go to church on Sunday, Night Vigil, I was among the ushers in the church, but I was completely a lost man, I thought I could do all those things to please God so that He would allow me into Heaven.
One day, I was invited by a missionary to a Different Baptist Church, we call them that name, to make fun of them, because they are different from the Baptists we used to know. They will not use drums, not speaking in tongues, no night vigils, they go out soul winning every Thursday night and Saturday Evenings, and when I got to the church, the pastor preached a very heart touching message of God’s Word, and I raised my hand for salvation. That day, I was gloriously saved, I know today that when I die, I am on my way to Heaven, because Christ paid the price for my sin when He died on the cross. 1 John 5:13. I know that I am eternally saved without any doubts about it. John 6:37,1 Peter 1:5. The same year, I was Scripturally baptized by immersion in water as act of obedience to God’s command.
Calling Into The Ministry:
Moreover, I was called into the ministry in 2007 and I went to Hyles Anderson College of West Africa in Kumasi, Ghana in 2008. I left my family in Nigeria to go to Ghana to study for my pastoral training and theology. And in August 2011, I graduated with Bachelor of science in Pastoral Theology, and I was the valedictorian for 2011 class. Right after my graduation, I came back to my home country, and also to my home church to serve as the assistant pastor to the missionary pastor, and I have been working in the church till now.
There are many cities, towns, and villages without Independent Baptist Churches, and I want to go to Akwa Ibom State, and the capital city is Uyo. Uyo is a city in south-eastern Nigeria and is the capital of Akwa Ibom State, a major oil producing state of Nigeria. The city became the capital of Akwa Ibom State on September 23, 1987 following the creation of Akwa Ibom State from erstwhile Cross River State. The University of Uyo resides in this city. The population of Uyo, according to the 2006 Nigerian Census which comprises Uyo and Itu, is 436,606, while the urban Area, including Uruan, is 554,906.
I believe that the King James Bible is the Word of God without error. I believe that salvation is by grace through faith. Being born again by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is the only requirement for salvation. I believe in the eternal security of the believer (once saved, always saved). I believe that the unsaved will spend eternity in torment in a literal hell. I believe that Jesus is God, and that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. I believe only in the local church and not in a universal church. I reject the teaching of Calvinism and believe that God wants everyone to be saved.
